Satchidananda: (Sat-Chit-Ananda)

“Now I must say a few more words about the blissful state of ‘Satchidananda’. Every intelligent human being has three ultimate aims in life:

1)    To have eternal life. All efforts to delay or avoid death is due to this desire.

2)    To have knowledge of everything in the world, that is, to have unlimited knowledge of things.

3)    To have unending and non-changing happiness.

These three can be achieved only by those who can establish union with the Real Sources. That source is Sat-Chit-Ananda. Sat representing eternal life, Chit standing for full wisdom and Ananda for bliss.

Because our soul has all these potentialities, it aspires to experience and express them in human life. The wisdom of the Rishis who coined this beautiful term is unique indeed! You do not come across such a thought in the scripture of any other religion.
